Hi I’m Grace Oppenheim and I am so excited to join my fellow peers on this extraordinary journey. I am originally from Santa Cruz, California. I attended Bryn Mawr College where I received a degree in political science. While at Bryn Mawr I was particularly interested in international politics. I spent a semester abroad at University College London. My love of international affairs has carried over into my new found passion of nursing. I am a BSN/MSN student and my specialty is Family Health NP. I decided to attend Penn’s nursing program due to the phenomenal abroad opportunities it offers. I am particularly interested in global health and am elated to have this opportunity to study how healthcare is performed in Botswana. I believe being well traveled and cultured will help me provide the best nursing care possible. In the future I hope to expand on the knowledge I gain in Botswana and couple it with my political science background to shape healthcare reform in the global context.
